The Goron Crisis was a term used by the Hylian to describe an incident that took place in the Hylian town of Kakariko in the year A.D. 755
Kakariko, who's population is mostly Hylian and a few Sheikah remains relatively independent from the rule of Castle Town and have no intention of changing that.
For some time, the town has shared good relations with the Gorons of Death Mountain and would have a large portion of their tiny economy centered around mountain tours and tourism.
However, this all changed when two Gorons entered into an altercation with some of the town militia, leading to both being killed.
Darunia, leader of the death mountain Gorons became enraged upon hearing of the incident and refused to listen to any representative of Kakariko.
With Darunia personally leading a raiding party down the mountain, the Gorons smashed through the weak metal gate of the town and marched directly into the town center, injuring three militia men in the process.
With the mayor imprisoned in the town hall with what little militia had not been captured, the Goron siege lasted twelve hours before an enormous Hylian army amassed outside the town, sent from Hyrule Castle, forcing the Gorons to negotiate.
Eventually, the outnumbered Goron division pulled out of town, released the prisoners and retreated back up the mountain.
The Hylian army nearly at that moment officially annexed the small town after deeming it unable to defend itself though st the last moment the mayor was able to strike a deal.
Kakariko's economy has not since recovered and the town is nearly on the verge or inner collapse.. and with two hungry factions eyeing the town, it's independent status is in great peril.
